Payment Policy
This policy describes how Taleori takes payment. Card statements show Taleori. Plan prices are on pricing and in the Terms of Sale.
1. Two rails, one order — one rail
TBC Bank (e-commerce / card gateway). For buyers in Georgia, Israel and other countries where Visa and Mastercard work. When the bank enables internet acquiring, checkout will offer card payment. The charge currency is the one shown on the bank page (typically USD). We show an indicative GEL equivalent on our site; that is not a promise to charge lari.
If the bank enables them, Apple Pay and Google Pay may appear. We do not promise them before that. Merchant settlement timing (T+1 and similar) is the bank’s schedule, not “the author already has the money”.
lava.top. For buyers in the Russian Federation: RUB, Faster Payments (SBP), MIR and Russian-issued Visa/Mastercard. The 8% platform fee is paid by the Seller; the price you see on the button is what you pay. lava.top does not issue a 54-FZ receipt. Confirmation is your bank receipt and the Taleori email.
TBC and lava cannot be mixed in one invoice. Geo-hinting may highlight a convenient button but must not hide the other rail when both are live. Until the TBC gateway is on, the live rail is whichever actually processes payment (sandbox or lava.top).
2. What you see before paying
Before “Pay”, checkout shows the Taleori trade name, order contents, the amount in the charge currency and a GEL equivalent for the USD price. For the rouble rail the RUB total is shown before confirmation, with no silent conversion at click time.
Mandatory consents: you are 18+ and a parent or guardian; you accept the terms of sale and terms of service; you agree to privacy processing; if a photo was uploaded — separate consent to stylise it and delete the original within 24 hours.
3. Failed payment
A cancellation, issuer decline, timeout or 3-D Secure failure does not create an obligation to deliver the story. The order stays unpaid; the preview remains. You may retry.
FX mark-ups charged by your issuing bank are outside Taleori’s price. We do not refund “the bank took 3% extra”.
4. 3-D Secure and PCI
Card details are entered on the TBC or lava.top page. Taleori is not a PAN vault and does not hold a full PCI cardholder-data environment for card capture. See Transaction Security.
5. Refunds of money
Refunds follow the original rail. Timing depends on the bank or lava.top. When we refund is set out in Refunds. lava’s 8% fee may stay a seller cost under their rules; in the cases listed in the refund policy we return the amount you paid.
6. Card disputes
Write to us first at hello@taleori.com: date, amount, masked card (never the full PAN), order number. You may also contact your bank. We keep cardholder fields the bank may request for at least 6 months.
7. Product copy on lava
The lava.top product card must match the pricing page in substance: name, contents, RUB price, how to get access (account and email), contact hello@taleori.com. After payment lava returns to our `successful_return_url`; the user should not be left on a third-party domain without order status.
8. TBC checkout fields
When the gateway is live, the bank page is preceded by DBA Taleori, the USD amount, a GEL equivalent and the order contents. We collect cardholder name, country, address, phone and email and keep them for the bank as described in privacy. Visa, Mastercard and TBC lockups sit in the footer without a brand recolour. The “pay from Russia” control does not show TBC as if TBC accepted MIR.
9. Contact for a payment in progress
hello@taleori.com, +995 599 251 351, 09:00–18:00 GET, Monday–Friday. For “money left, no story” use the same contacts, not random chats. We never ask for a CVV by email.
